Melt together slowly and add

Pulverized Galbanum, one pound.

Strain the mass through a linen clothwhile hot, and when it has nearly cooled,add to it

Saffron, triturated with alcohol,

Fuld. directs eight ounces of Galbanum,dissolvedin wine and inspissated, twoounceseach of stag's suet and of olive oil, and fourounces of yellow wax, to be melted toge-ther ; then withdrawn from the fire, andone ounce of pulverized saffron added.R. Gum Ammoniac, 1 of each,
