It is excitant, nervine, cephalic, and sto-machic. — Dose, from ten to twenty drops.■— It is also used as an embrocation.
We have placed this preparation in thearticle of rosemary, although the oil ofrosemary does not enter into ail the for-mulae, that it might not be separated fromthe preceding ones, to which it has a greatresemblance.
OPHTHALMIC BALSAM. (AUGUSTIN)

Oil of Chamomile, twenty drops.
Concentrated Alcohol, half an ounce.
Mix. — It is recommended by Lœbei. de
Lœbensteix, in lotions to the forehead,
eyelids, and cheeks, in weakness of the
sight.
