R. Mucilage of Tragacanth,

two or three ounces.Boiling Water, one pound.

Syrup of Marshmallows, one ounce.Dissolve, and mix. (Swediaur)

Dose, three or four ounces, several timesa day, in cough, dysury, nephritis, andgonorrhoea.

ANODYNE OPHTHALMIC LIQUOR. (PaLAT.)

R. Tragacanth, two drams.

Mucilage of Flea-hane, three drams.Rose Water, 1 of each, a

Plantain Water, J sufficient quantity

to make a liquor of an agreeable consistence.

OILY POTION. (RATIEr)

R. Oil of Almonds, half an ounce.

Tragacanth, ten grains.

AVater, two ounces.

Simple Syrup, one ounce.Mix.

R. Oil of Almonds, "1 of each, one

Simple Syrup, J ounce and a half.

Tragacanth, fifteen grains.

Orange-flower Water, four drams.

Lettuce Water, four ounces.Mix.

Emulsion of Sweet Almonds,

I four ounces.Simple Syrup, one ounce.

Triturate together. (Ratier)R. Tragacanth, half a dram.

Sard, prescribes one ounce of tragacanth,two drams of starch, two of liquorice, fiveof gum arabic, and the addition to eachdram of the powder of poppy seeds, and thesame of cucumber seeds. Lipp. twoounces of tragacanth, one ounce of gumarabic, and half an ounce each, of liquoriceand of starch.
