Emulsionize it, at twice, with four ouncesof water each time. Mix the emulsions andevaporate, constantly stirring, to the con-sistence of an extract.R. Myrrh, half a pound.
Solution of Subcarbonate of Potass.

Mix well with a wooden spatula, and setaside in a cellar for fifteen days ; then pom-hot water upon the. mass, stir, and set itaside again ; having poured off the clearliquor, pour more hot water upon the resi-duum. Repeat this till the water comes offcolourless, then mix together the strainedliquors and evaporate slowly. (Olden. ;Palat. ; Sard. ; Wirtem.)
Dose, from four to ten grains, severaltimes a day.
ALCOHOLIC EXTRACT OF MYRRH.
Extractum Myrrhœ resinosum. (Sard.)R. Myrrh, any quantity.
Treat it with rectified alcohol, and strainthe tincture. Distil off the spirit and eva-porate the residuum in a water-bath.

It is recommended in pulmonary con-sumption and ulceration of the uterus. —Dose, one or two drams, in water, twice orthrice a day.
