They are recommended by Quarin inchronic discharges of the urethra. — Dose,from fourteen to twenty grains, thrice aday. At the same time the vertebral co-lumn is to be rubbed with stimulant lini-ments.

Pulverized Cinnamon, four scruples.

Make thirty-six logenzes, each of whichcontains two grains of iron. (Fuld. ; Pi-derit)
Gall, prescribes half an ounce of filings,one dram of cinnamon, five ounces ofsugar, and a sufficient quantity of mucilageof tragacanth ; to be made into lozenges oftwelve grains each, containing each aboutone grain of iron. — Sard. — one ounce offilings, five ounces of sugar, one dram ofcinnamon, and mucilage of tragacanth ;these lozenges contain twice the quantityof iron of the pi'eceding. — Sainte-Marie■— four drams of filings, two drams of cin-namon, and four ounces of sugar ; to bemade into twenty-eight tablets : or, twoounces of iron, four of sugar, one of anise,and a sufficient quantity of tragacanth ; tomake sixty lozenges.

The dose of these lozenges varies, ofcourse, in proportion to the quantity of ironcontained in each.
FERRUGINOUS PASTILLES. (CADET DE
GASSICOURT; PlERftUIN)
R. Porphyrized Iron Filings, \ of each, halfChocolate Paste, / an ounce.
Pulverized Saffron, one dram.
Mucilage of Tragacanth,
a sufficient quantity.Make pastilles of twelve grains each.
Dose, three or four, daily; in leucorrhceaand in chlorosis.
emmenagogue pastilles. (sainte -Marie)
R. Senna, in powder, two ounces.
Boiling Water, eight ounces.
Infuse for half an hour, in warm ashes ;then strain the infusion, and add
White Sugar, four ounces.
Put it again on the fire, boil to the con-sistence of syrup, and add
Iron Filings, one ounce.
Pour it upon paper sprinkled with cin-namon powder, and divide the mass intothirty-two pastilles.
Dose, two daily, morning and evening.
