Camphor, 1 of each,
Aloes, J one dram and a half.
Spanish Wine, forty-eight ounces.
Water of Pale Roses, six ounces.

Macerate for fifteen days in the sun, anddecant.
There is in Bruns., under the title ofAqua ophthalmica usualis, the followingformula, which somewhat resembles Pier-quin's :

Mix the oil with melted wax; thenremove the mixture from the fire, andas soon as it begins to thicken, addthe calamine, and stir constantly tillcold.

Amer. ; Hann. ; Lusit. ; Coxe ; Nie-mann ; and Swediaur give the same for-mula as Lond. — Fuld. prescribes twelveparts of oil, six of wax, and four and a halfof calamine. — Amst. — two of oil, one ofwax, and one and a half of calamine. — Ca-det de Gassicourt — six of oil, one ofwhite wax, and one of calamine.

Make an ointment.
Batav. ; Hann. ; Olden. ; Pol. ; Bo-rus. ; and Sax. prescribe eight parts ofsimple cerate, and one part of impure oxide.— Genev. — twelve of cerate, and one ofoxide. — Augustin — two drams of oxide,and one ounce of rose ointment. — Lusit. —thirty-two of lard, one of wax, and eight ofoxide.
