Gall, directs two parts of oil to be ma-cerated with one part of herb for twenty-four hours in warm ashes, the operation tobe repeated a second time, the mixture tobe then slightly boiled, and expressed.R. Fresh Herb of Rue, one part.

Digest for three days at a moderate heat ;then boil to the consumption of the humi-dity, and express. (Herbip.;
Hisp. prescribes one part of herb andthree parts of oil.
It is excitant, anti-colical, anthelmintic,and nervine. It is employed in lavementsand frictions.
