scribe one pound of lard washed with rosewater, and twelve drops of oil of rhodium.-—Spielmann — twelve ounces of lard wash-ed with rose water, and sixteen drops ofoil of rhodium. — Swediaur — one poundof lard washed with rose water, and onedram of oil of rhodium.
R. Lard, two pounds.
Mutton Suet, three ounces.
Melt together, and pour the mass intorose water ; stir well, let the ointment cool,and dry it. One dram of oil of rhodiummay be added to each pound. (Bruns.)
Amer. ; and Coxe direct half an ounceof spermaceti and one dram of white waxto be melted in two ounces of oil of al-monds, and two ounces of rose water to bestirred with the mixture till cold.
R. Lard, washed with rose water,

Melt slowly together, and when cold, addgradually,

Van Mons directs one part of white waxto be melted and added to four parts of lard,and one ounce and a half of rose water tobe gradually incorporated in the mixture. —Fuld. — thirty-two ounces of lard to be tri-turated with four ounces of rose water, themixture then melted, the water separated,and the lard triturated with thirty drops ofoil of lemon. — Lipp. — one pound of lard tohe triturated with two ounces of rose waterand two ounces of orange-flower water, themixture to be then melted, the water sepa-rated, and the lard incorporated with twen-ty-four drops of oil of bergamotte and fif-teen of oil of lavender.

Boil slowly, and then digest for three
days ; then boil again till all the water is
evaporated : agitate the strained liquid with
rose water till it becomes white, and add,
Oil of Rhodium, twenty drops.
