R. Fresh Yolks of Eggs, any quantity.
Put them in a silver pan, boil till reducedto one half the quantity, in a water-bath,when, on being pressed between the fingers,the oil will be easily separated ; then enclosethe mass in a close linen bag, express be-tween two heated plates, and filter, at theheat of a water-bath, through bibulouspaper.
Chaussier proposed to mix the hardyolks with alcohol, to heat the mixture ina covered vessel, to filter, then to distil, andlastly, to separate the oil with water. (Hen-ri ; Van Mons) — But the oil obtained inthis manner always retains, according toHenri, the odour of alcohol; and, accord-ing to Van Mons, it is more subject to be-come rancid.

R. Well-washed Bran, half a handful.Pure Water, two pounds.
Boil down to one half, and add whenstrained,

R. Lard, one ounce.
Fresh Egg, without shell, one.
Shake the egg well with the lard meltedover a slow fire.
Alphonse Leroy applied it to goitroustumours, during three or four months. Itis said to have sometimes removed them.
YELLOW PLASTER.
Emplastrum flavum. (Olden.)
R. Hard Yolks of Eggs, six.
Yellow Wax, 1 c , c
T , ' > of each, four ounces.

Mix.analeptic mixture. (Sainte-Marie)
R. Cream, six ounces.
Fresh Yolks of Eggs, two.
Sugar, from four drams to one ounce.
Hordeated Cinnamon Water, six drams.
Mix well.—To be taken by spoonfuls, in
the debility occasioned by excessive venery.
