Water, eight parts.
Distil. (Hann.)
Palat. prescribes one part of wood andsix parts of water. — Austr.- — one of woodand twelve of water.
Sard, speaks of another oil obtained bydistilling the rasped wood at the open fire,and separating from the fetid oil the clearliquor which passes over with it.

R. Essential Oil of Juniper, twelve drops.Sugar, half an ounce.
Triturate together
STIMULANT POWDER. (AUGUSTIN)
R. White Sugar, half an ounce.
Essential Oil of Juniper, three drops.Mix intimately, and add
Muriate of Soda, one dram.
Divide into twelve parcels.—Dose, threedaily; in white swellings of the joints.
