Boil slowly to the consistence of a syrup.

Digest for several days, and decant.
Stœbck recommended this wine in inve-terate leucorrhoea, and in what are callednervous fevers.
Dose, a spoonful, every two hours.

Gentian, half an ounce.
Canella Alba, two drams.
White Wine, twelve ounces.
Digest for three days, and decant. (Fuld.)

This wine may be prepared extempora-neously by following the formula of Ma-rahelli, and adding to wine of gentian aquantit)', variable according to the indication,of the tincture of tartrate of potass and ofiron.
It is tonic, excitant, anti-cachectic, ape-ritive, and emmenagogue. — Dose, severalspoonfuls in the course of the day; or, threeor four ounces in the morning, fasting.
