It may ferther lyke Your good Grace to be advertifed thatone Thomas Murner, a Frere of Saynt Francisce, whichwrote a booke againft Luther in defence of the Ringes boke,was oute of Almaigne fent in to England, by the meane of afimple 1 2 ) perfon, an Almaign namyng hymfelfe fervaunt un tothe Ringes Grace, and alferming un to Murner, that the Ringhad gevyn hym in charge to defyre Murner to cum over to liyrnin to England, and by occafion ther of he is cunnnen over, andhas now bene here a good while. Wher fore the Ringes Grace,pitiyng that he was fo deceived and having tendre refpecte tothe goode zele that he bereth toward the fcith, and his goodhart and mynd toward Ilis Ilighnes, requyreth Your Grace thatit may lyke you to caufe hym have in reward one hundredpownde, and that he may retourn home, wher his prefence isvery necefsary; for he is one of the chiefe ftays agaynft thefaction of Luther in that parties, agaynft whom he hath wry tienmany bokis in the Almayng tong; and now, fith his cumminghither, he hath translated into Latyn the boke that he byfore madein Almaign, in defence of the Ringes boke. He is Doctour ofDivinité and of bothe Lawes, and a man for wryting and pre-ching of great eftimation in his cuntre.

Hit may like Your Grace ferther to wite, that the famefimple perfon, which caufed Murner to cum in to England, isnow cunnnen to the Court, and hath brought with hym a Ba-rons fon of Almaygn, to whom lie hath also perfuaded, that the
