N°1511 1910. Lennep Sandstone. The name Lennep sandstone was adopted by Stone & Calvert^) fora group of andesitic beds whi'.-h lie stratigraphically between the Bearpaw sliale and the Lanceformation along the north flank of the Crazy Mountains.
Lennep, frorn which the formation takes its name, is a station on the Ohicago, Milwaukee& St. Paul Railway at the North end of the Crazy Mountains, in the immediate vicinity of aridge formed by these beds. Etc. etc. The following collections of plants & bones were obtai-ned from the Lennep beds in different parts of the held: (etc.) Lragmcnts apparently of aginkgo, a conifer, probably a sequoia, and several dicotyledons. (etc.) Fragments of tecth of acarnivorous dinosaur; shell fragments of a turtle, bone fragments, none determinable. (etc.)Fragments of dinosaur bone, none determinable. (etc.) A large part of one individual of a turtlebelonging to the genus Basilemys.
