Calcined Lead, one part.

Melt, and mix well. (Sax.)R. Oil of Black Nightshade,

thirty-four parts.Subcarbonate of Lead, ten parts.

Boil, and addWax, thirty-four parts.

Calcined Lead, six parts.

Bruns. ; and Wirtem. prescribe twopounds and a half of oil of black nightshade,one ounce and a half of subcarbonate oflead, thirty ounces of white wax, one ounceand a half of calcined lead, and four ounceseach, of oxide of zinc and of olibanum. —Van Mons — six parts of olive oil, ten ofsubcarbonate of lead, eight of wax, one ofresin, and two each, of calcined lead, of ox-ile of zinc, and of tutty.R. Olive Oil, half a pound.

Yellow Wax, one pound.

Melt together, and add

Calcined Lead, half a pound.

Subcarbonate of Lead, four ounces.Oxide of Zinc, three ounces.

Olibanum, one ounce and a half.

Mix intimately. (Fenn. ; Suec.)

Batav. prescribes seven parts of oil,twelve of wax, six of calcined lead, four ofsubcarbonate of lead, three of oxide of zinc,and one and a half of olibanum. — Amst. —thirty of oil, thirty-six of wax, twelve ofcalcined lead, eight of subcarbonate, six ofoxide of zinc, and two and a half of oliba-num. — Hann. — fifteen of oil, sixteen ofwax, three each, of calcined lead and of sub-carbonate, and two each, of oxide of zincand of olibanum.

thirty-two ounces.Powdered Calamine, four ounces.

Mix. (Olden.)R. Camphor, one dram.

Olive Oil, five ounces.

Triturate the subcarbonate and calaminewith a little oil, add the remainder of theoil melted with the wax, then the camphor,triturated with oil, and stir constantly tillcold. (Van Mons)R. Oil of Black Nightshade,

Melt slowly, and add
