The herb (Hería Hepaticœ fontana; seuLichenis stellati seu Licheras petrœi latifoliï)is employed. It is a membranous, planefrond, from two to four inches long, andlobed ; the lobes are obtuse, and traversedby a median nervure.
It is slightly astringent.
