The dose is generally a tea spoonful. —Some pharmacopoeias, amongst which areGall.; and Hisp.; substitute for the sub-carbonate the pure magnesia, which, in-deed, has the advantage of not inconve-niencing the patient by the disengagementof carbonic gas in the stomach.
