Bosio gives only ninety-two French comman-ders; knights of all three Languages; thirty-five Italians, thirty-five Spanish and Portuguese,five English, eight German, and eighteen betweenchaplains and servants-at-arms of various nations.To which five English knights I will add a few onhis own authority, though afterwards left out inhis list. If meagre be the memorandum of theother Languages, most meagre indeed is theEnglish.
