Unanimous were the Knights, those for Eng-land being Sir John Bosnel, and Sir John Yaque-lin; yet kept to the various ancient customs. Asusual in such elections the triumvirate composedof a knight, a churchman, and a servant-of-arms,recalled the three original bodies which have everformed the order; and the sixteen electors, chosenby all the knightly corps, came out from the chapelthree several times, and asked if the order wouldstand by their election, and were each timeanswered yes , by each of the knightswho, whileuttering it, in turn, placed their right hand on thecross on their breast; on which the sixteen returnedinto the chapel, and soon coming out again, an-nounced Sir Peter DAubusson as the new grandmaster. 1
