Empeachment : Which daily Profitts, Advantages, and Comfflodeties arenow lately much decaied to their Hinderance, Ipecially in this our Realme,as is before alleadged, but allô have bin by the lame fondry EmperoursjKings, and Princes enriched, and adorned, Time out of Mail’s Memory,with divers and londry Kindes of Priveledges, Liberties, and Fraunchiles;which are among others, That they and every of them be free, exempt,quiet, arid difchardged, not onely from all Subfidies, Difmes, Fyftenes,Releiffes, Contribucions, Taxes, Gifts, Grantes, Benevolences, and gene-rally from all other manner of Chardge, as well in Time of War as Peace,in all filch Reahnes and Dominions, as wherin they made their Demoure :but alio in all Marketts, and other Places from Tolies, Fines, Cuftomes,Impolicions, and Demaundes, and as well from Watch and Ward in allCitties, Townes, Caftelles, Borowes, and Villages, and from the Ele&ionor Appointment to any Office of Major, Sheriffe, BaylifF, Coneftable,Scavenger, Church-warden, or any other publike Office, or rome inCitties, Townes, Caftells, Borowes, and Villages of what Degree, Na-ture, or Condicion foever the lame be ; And forafinuch allô, as we under-Hand all Kinges of Armes, Herauldes, and Purfivants of Armes, haveallwayes heretofore from the Beginning of the Office of Armes enjoyed,and prelently doe enjoy all and lingular the Privileges, Liberties, and Fran-chiles aforelaid, with many others, in all Chriftian Regions without anyDifturbance, Lett, or Impediment to the contrary : Wee therefore, con-sidering the lame, and earneftly minding, as well the Advauncement ofthe laid Office of Armes, as the quiet, and honeft Supportacion of ourServantes, and Minifters thereof do of our Ipeciall Grace, certaine Know-ledge, and meere Motion, by the Advile and Conlent of our moll dearelybeloved Uncle Edouard Duke of Somerfet Governor of our Perfon, and Pro-tector of all our Realmes, Dominions, and Subjects, and of the reft ofour Councell, by theile Prelcnts, not onely ratifie, and generally approve,give, grant, and confirme to the laid Kings of Armes, Herauldes, andPurfivants of Armes, and to every of them, and their Succellors in theirRomes, and Offices for ever for us and our Succeffors, all and fingulerthe Priveledges, Liberries, and Franchiles before recited, and all fuch otherPriviledges, although here not recyted, as have bin of honorable Anti-quitie, uppon juft Confideracions to them granted by Emperors, Kinges,and Princes of right famous Memory heretofore, but allô do Ipecially bytheile Prefents pardon, remitt, releale, and utterly for us, our Heires, andSuccellors exonerate the laid Crißopher , Thomas, Gilbert, Leonarde, Charles,Bartellraeoue, William , William, Laourence, Robert , Martin, Edmond, Symon,William, Nicholas, Henry and Henry and all and finguler other our Purfi-vantes of Armes, as well ordinary, as extraordinary, although they benot heere exprelsly named, and although they be alredy or hereafter lhalbecertifyed into our Exchequer without their proper Names with the Addi-cions of their Offices, and every of them, of all and finguler lùch Debtes,Sommes of Money, and Demandes whatfoever they be, that are granted tous for the Releifo aforelaid, as uppon the laid Chrißopher, Thomas, Gilbert,Leonard, Ihomas, Bartelmenv, William, William, Laurence, Robert, Martin,Edmond, Symon, William, Nicholas, Henry and Henry, and all and finguler
