The Knights Grand Cross of theOrder of the Guelphs, place a lightblue Circle with the Motto, nec asperaterrent, in letters of gold, round theirArms, together with a Wreath of Laurel, ifof the Military, and of Oak, if of the CivilClass, in the proper colours, outside of whichis the Collar, having the Badge suspendedto it. They are not entitled to Supporters . 5

The annexed engraving is that of theShield of a Military Knight Grand Crossof the Order of the Guelphs.

The Knights Commanders of the Guelphsalso place the Circle, Motto, and Wreath, eitherof Oak or Laurel, round the Shield; and a re-presentation of the Ribband, with the Badgeattached, is introduced from the lower part of•the Escutcheon . 3

The example is that of the Shield of a CivilKnight Commander of the Order of the Guelphs.
