MISCELLANEOUS REMARKS.

[ARMORIAL BEARINGS.

Companions of Saint Michael and SaintGeorge bear their Ribband and Badge in the samemanner as Companions of the Bath ; and the Esquire’sHelmet and Lambrequin 3 may be used by both.

The Cavalieri of the Order of Saint Mi-chael and Saint George , 4 by His late MajestyKing William the Fourth’s special command, place theCircle and Motto round their Arms, and suspend theirRibband and Badge to the Shield ; but they are notentitled to a Knight’s Helmet.

Crosses and Medals, with their proper Ribbands or Chains, may besuspended from the Shield, in the same manner as the Ribband and Cross of aCompanion of the Bath.

3 It may here be observed, that the Lambrequin which, in some of these engravings, is attached tothe Helmet, may be used with all Helmets.
