Lady Katherine Swynford, Duchess of Lancas-ter, daughter of Sir Payne Roelt, and widow ofSir Hugh Swynford. She was first the mistress,and afterwards the wife of John Duke of Lancaster,K. G. Received Robes as “ Lady Katherine Swyn-ford” from 1387 to 1390, and as “ Duchess of Lan-caster” from 1395 to 1397. Died 10th May 1403.

Alice, Countess of Kent, daughter of RichardFitz Alan Earl of Arundel, K. G., and wife ofThomas Holand, 2nd Earl of Kent, K. G. Shereceived Robes from 1388 to 1390, in 1399 and1401. Died 1416.

Mary, Countess of Derby, daughter and co-heiressof Humphrey de Bohun Earl of Hereford, Essex,and Northampton, K. G., and first wife of HenryEarl of Derby, afterwards King Henry the Fourth.Received Robes as “Countess of Derby” from1388 to 1390. Died 1394.

Lady Tryvet. Apparently the daughter and heiress ofSir Philip Timbury, and widow of Sir ThomasTryvet, Banneret, who died in 1388. She hadpreviously married Thomas Swynburne, Esq. Re-ceived Robes as “ Lady Tryvet” in 1390 and 1399.Died 1433.

Joan Lady Beauchamp, second daughter of Richard,and sister and co-heir of Thomas Fitz Alan, Earlsof Arundel, Knights of the Garter, and wife of SirWilliam Beauchamp, K.G. afterwards Lord Berga-venny. Received Robes as “Lady Beauchamp”in 1390, 1399, 1408, 1409, 1413 and 1416. Died1436.

Philippa, Lady Fitz Walter, afterwards Duchessof York, fifth daughter and co-heiress of JohnLord Mohun, K.G., and widow of Walter LordFitz Walter, who died in 1386. She married se-condly, Sir John Golafre; and, thirdly, EdwardDuke of York, K.G. Received Robes as “ LadyFitz Walter” in 1390 and 1399 ; and as “ Duchessof York, Junior,” in 1408, 1409, 1413 and 1416.Died 1433.

ISABEL, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, Consort of KingRichard the Second, and daughter of Charlesthe Sixth, King of France. Received Robes from1395 to 1399.

Katherine, Duchess of Gueldres, daughter of Al-bert, Count or Duke of Holland, and wife of Wil-liam, Duke of Gueldres, K.G. She married firstEdward, Duke of Gueldres. Received Robes as“Duchess of Gueldres” in 1399. Died 1400.

Joan, Duchess of York, daughter and co-heiress ofEdmund Holand Earl of Kent, K. G., and secondwife of Edmund of Langley Duke of York, K. G.She married secondly, William Lord Willoughby ofEresby, K. G.; thirdly, Henry Lord Scrope ofMasham, K. G.; and, fourthly, Henry Lord Brom-flete. Received Robes as “ Duchess of York” in1399 and 1401, and as “ Duchess of York, senior,”in 1405, 1408, and 1416. Died 1433 or 1434.

Margaret, Countess of Somerset, Marchioness ofDorset, and afterwards Duchess of Clarence,daughter of Thomas Holand, second Earl of Kent,K.G. She married first, John Beaufort, Earl ofSomerset and Marquess of Dorset, K.G.; and se-condly, Thomas Duke of Clarence, K.G. ReceivedRobes as “ Marchioness of Dorset” in 1399; as“ Countess of Somerset” from 1401 to 1411 ; andas “ Duchess of Clarence” in 1413 and 1416.Died 31st December 1440.

Joan, Countess of Westmorland, daughter of John,Duke of Lancaster, K.G., by Katherine Swynford,and wife of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmor-land, K.G. She married first, Sir Robert Ferrers,of Wem and Oversley. Received Robes as“ Countess of Westmorland” in 1399, 1401, andfrom 1405 to 1416. Died 13th November 1430.

Lady Blanch Bradeston, probably the wife or sisterof Sir Thomas de Bradeston. Received Robes in1399.

Agnes Lady Arundel, apparently the wife of SirWilliam Fitz Alan, alias Arundel, K.G., but thename of her family has not been discovered. Re-ceived Robes in 1399. Died about 1401 or 1402.

Lady de Roos, apparently Margaret, daughter of JohnFitz Alan, alias Arundel, Lord Maltravers, sisterof John Earl of Arundel, K.G., and wife of Wil-liam Lord Roos of Hamlake, K.G. ReceivedRobes in 1399, 1408, 1409, 1413 and 1416. Shedied 1439.

Lady de Coucy. She is presumed to have been Mar-garet, the wife of Sir William de Coucy, who,with her husband, accompanied Queen Isabel toEngland. Received Robes in 1399.

JOAN, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, Consort of KingHenry the Fourth, daughter of Charles theSecond, King of Navarre, and widow of John the4th Duke of Brittany, K.G. Received Robes in1405, from 1408 to 1413, and in 1416. Died 10thJuly 1437.

Margaret, Duchess of Holland, daughter of Adolph,Duke of Cleves, and wife of Albert, Count Pala-tine Duke of Bavaria, Hainault, and Holland,K.G. Received Robes as “ Duchess of Holland,Senior,” in 1405.

Received Robes as “ Duchess of Hol-land, Junior,” in 1405, as “ Duchess of Hollandand Bavaria, and Countess of Ostrevant” in 1409,and as “ Duchess of Holland” in 1408,1410, 1411,and 1416.
