It was proposed in a general chap-ter to attempt the conquest of theMorea, and there to fix the residenceof the Order : but the death of popeInnocent, the author of the plan,put an end to the project.

In a general chapter held in 1364,it was enacted, that the servants-of-arms should not be permitted towear the cross. At the same timereceivers were appointed in eachpriory for the responsions and taxespaid by every commandery to theOrder.

at which Fernandes de Heredia, thelieutenant of the grand-master, pre-sided in his absence. The first col-lection of the statutes of the Orderwas made by this assembly.
