Acetum Antihystericum. Macerate 5y of castor, ^ij assafoetida, §ssof galbanum, §j of fresh rue, fcij of wine vinegar, and strain.Medicinally it is a good antispasmodic.

Acetum Colchici. L. Colcliicum Vinegar. Digest Jj of fresh bulbsof colcliicum sliced in Oj of acetic acid, and in a covered glassvessel, for 24 hours; express the liquor, pour it off clear, and add 3Jof proof spirit. Contains Vehatrine, which see.Medicinally it is sedative, diuretic, purgative, and diaphoretic. Dose5ss to 5jss in gout, rheumatism, dropsy, and thoracic inflammations.
