There are no lefs than threePrefcriptions under this Title, inthe Pharmacopoeia Repa, and twoin the firft Edition of the College, one of which is afcrib'd to Alefue.Schroder hath one not much un-like. They all aim at the fameIntention, of warming and com-forting the Stomach, by the Steams 1ixov ',of volatile Aromatics ; but whatis now here retained is much pre-ferable to them all, particularly inUniformity of Intention ; tho thisfufticiently abounds with Ingredi-ents, which is fome detriment to agood Confiftence in the whole. Itis now much in efteem, and fre-quently prefcrib'd to ftrengthen theStomach, infomuch that there arehardly any Shops without it.
