The former Pre-fcriptions of this were all with Ho-ney, in three times the quantity ofthe other Ingredients ; but the Sy-rupus de Meconio, as here ordered,is vaftly preferable, as agreeing ibmuch better with the Intention ofthe whole. It is a powerful Opi-ate, and given from gr. x. to 9 ii.to eafe violent Pains and procureSleep.

This hath continued the fame inalmoir. all the Difpenfatories it hath,yet paíTed thro', and is not only theCapital Alexipharmic of our Shops,but of all Europe.
