The Bibliographical references embrace 763 authors and 919 titles.Many authors, however, to whom credit might properly be given inthese pages, have been unmentioned. (See Introduction.) But, inas-much as the majority of the publications herein referred to are nowon the shelves of the Lloyd Library, as is true also of thousands ofothers of importance to which reference, for lack of space, has beenomitted, the chain of events, past or present, concerning any subject,can be completed by taking advantage of the bibliographical referencesherein recorded.
