SYRUPUS CORTICIS AURANT1I.
Syrup of Orange-Peel.
Take of the frefh outer Rind of Seville O-ranges, by weight, eight oun-ces.
Boiling diftilled Water five pints.
Macerate for twelve hours in a clofe veiTel;and, in the ftrained liquor, diffolve the dou-ble-refined fugar to make a Syrup.

In making this Syrup, it may not be improper toluve the fugar previonfiy powdered, in order that itmay be the fooner difiblved *in the infufion, and anyunneceflary exhalation of the volatile parts of thepeel avoided. P.

Syrup of Saffron.Take of Saffron, by weight, one ounce.Eoiling diftilled Water one pint.
