Dr. Lewis hasexpreßed a wifh that, as drops may vary in the quan-tity of contained opium, though in number the fame,the fhcps were furniflied with a folution of it,made in a quantity of menftruum large enough, notonly for the complete extraftion of the aftive parts,but to admit of the dofe being exa&ly determinedby weight or meafure : but this was notthought ne-ceffary by the majority of the Committee.

Camphorated Tinctureof Opium.

Take of hard purified Opium,

Flowers of Benjamin, of each onedram by weight.

Camphor two fcruples by weight.

Eflential Oil of Anife-feed onedram by weight.

Proof-Spirit of Wine two pints.
