The CoiiegeofLondon, by avoiding the frequency of ftirring, ex-pofe it to the air ftill lefs.

Four ounces, or more, of Lime-wäter are givento adults, and repeated twice a day, or offener, infome alvine fluxes, diabetes, and kucorrhcea; and,though it may not be lithontriptic, it moderares ibmecalculous fymptoms. It is applied as a wafh forfome kind of ulcers, andas an injetSti >n in ibme cafes.

ACETUM SCILLA.

VlNEGAR OF SqIJILL.

Take of Squills, frefli dried, oae pound.Vinegar fix pints.Proof-Spirit half a pint.

Macerate the Squills in the vinegar, with agentle heat, in a glafs Veflel, for four andtwenty hours. Then prefs out the liquor,and fet it by tkat the fosces may fubfide : laft-ly, pour off the liquor, and add to it the fpirit.
