210 Infusions.

Diffolve the Cryftals of Tartar by boiling inthe water j then pour the Water, as yet boil-ing, on the Senna and Seeds. Macerate for anhour in a covered vefiel, and flrain when cold.

Both the preceding infufions of Sennaare mildlypurgative to adults in the dofe of an ounce and anhalf or two ounces : the naufeous flavour of the Sen-na is more covered in the latter j and, as fome think,would be Hill more fo by the addition of fugar.

AQUA CALCIS. *

Lime-Water.

Take of Quick-lime half a pound.

Boiling diitilled Water tvvelve pints.

Mix, and fet it afide in a covered veffel forone hour ; then pour oft the liquor, whichkeep in a clofe veffel.
