This Calx of Zinc is more pure than Tut-ty or Pompholyx, and therefore fuppofed fitter formedical purpofes. It has been ftrongly recom-mended, by Gaubius, in dofes, to adults, from onegrain to four or five, in epileptic complaints. Ithas been given fince more largely, — not without,too often, difappointing expeftation.

ZINCUM VITRIOLATUM PURI-FICATUM.

PüRIFIED VITRIOLATED ZlNC.

Take of white Vitriol one pound.

Vitriolic Acid one dram byweight.

Boiling diftilled Water threepints.

Mix, and filter through paper. After aproper evaporation, fet it afide, in a coldplace, to cryftallize.
