Preparations of

Mix in a glafs veffel, and fet it afide untillthe Quickfilver is diffolved. Let therh boil,that the falt may be diflblved. Pour out theboiling liquor into a glafs veffel, into whichanother boiling liquor has been put before,confifting of,

Sea-falt, by weight, four ounces.Diftilled Water eight pints.

After a white powder has fubfided to thebottom of the veffel, let the liquor fwim-ming at the top be poured out, and the re-maining powder be wafhed, tili it becomes in-fipid, with frequent affufions of hot water -,then dried on blotting paper with a gentleheat.
