ELATERIUM.

Eläterium.

Slit ripe wild Cucumbers, and pafs thejuice, very lightly preffed, through a very finefieve, into a glafs veffel; then fet it by for fornehours untill the thicker part has fubfided.Pour off the tbinner part which fwims at thetop, and feparate the reft by filtering : coverthe thicker part, which remains after filtra-tion, with a iinen cloth, and dry it with agentle heat.
