LXXXIX

Death, gentle death, is tranquil as the night, and life is heavy as a summers noon.

Slowly the shadows overtake the light, and I, grown tired, shall be sleeping soon.

In the tall tree above my head the youngnightingale sings of hopeless love. It seemsthat I, who also both have loved and sung, will love, and hear her singing in my dreams.
