On a field of battle,, covered with dead car-casses, Deaths armed with a buckler and a hugedart, attacks this warrior, in the bosom of victory,escaped alone from the carnage of the day, and isgiving him some terrible blows. It is in vainthat this brave Soldier, whose courage seems in-vincible, is obstinately attempting to dispute thevictory with an irresistible adversary. In the background appears another Death, running, and beat-ing on a drum, who is followed by several soldiers.
