Wm. de Wircefire alias Botaner (as he ftiled himfolfj whowrote the Life of Sir John Fafiolf, was foppoled upon the Credit of forneWriters there quoted, to have been his Officer of Arms, and it was far-ther intimated, as though the Term alias Botaner foemed to denote theMethod of denominating an Herald, and it was conjectured that the latterWord might probably allude to the Bearing in Sir Johns Arms.
