THE SOVEREIGN.

On entering the Choir, the Officers and others proceeded until they arrived opposite their assignedplaces, when they separated to the right and left, and took their stations standing ; and the Knightsproceeded to their Stalls until the Sovereign arrived, who made His reverence to the Altar, and tookHis seat on the Throne, whereupon the senior Installed Knight present, attended by his Esquires,advanced towards the Throne, and made their reverences to the Altar and to the Sovereign, and thenretiring backwards to his Stall, the Knight took his seat therein, and his Esquires their respectiveseats in front of the Stall ; when the other Installed Knights according to their seniority, advanced andretired with the like reverences, and seated themselves in their respective Stalls, their Esquires seated infront of them. The Uninstalled Knights seated themselves in front of their respective Stalls, theirEsquires before them. The Prelate, Chancellor, and other Officers with like reverences to the Altar,and the Sovereign, took their respective seats.

The Dignitaries and Prebendaries proceeded to their places near the Altar, after which Te Deumwas performed.

At the conclusion of the Anthem, Ulster, the Heralds, Pursuivants, and Esquires of His RoyalHighness the Duke of Cumberland, proceeded to the Chapter Room for the Insignia, and re-entered inthe following order:
