MARGARET, QUEEN OF-ENGLAND, Consort ofKing Henry the Sixth, daughter of Rene, Countof Anjou, Received Robes from 1449 to 1458.*Died 1482.

Eleanor, Duchess of Somerset, second daughter andco-heiress of Richard Beauchamp, Earl of War-wick, K.G. and wife of Edmund Beaufort, Duke ofSomerset, K.G. She married first, Thomas LordRoos. Received Robes as “ Duchess of Somer-set” in 1452. Died 12th March 1467.

ELIZABETH, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, Consort ofKing Edward the Fourth, daughter of RichardWydville, Earl Ryvers, and widow of John LordGrey, of Groby. Received Robes in 1477 and1480. Died about 1492.

Lady Elizabeth, the King’s daughter. ReceivedRobes in 1477 and 1480. Became Queen Con-sort in 1486.

Elizabeth, Duchess of Suffolk, sister of King Ed-w'ard IV. and wife of John de la Pole, Duke ofSuffolk, K.G. Received Robes as “ Duchess ofSuffolk” in 1477. Died 16th November 1500.

Lady Mary, second daughter of King Edward IV.Received Robes as “ Lady Mary the King’s daugh-ter” in 1480. Died 23rd May 1482.

Lady Cecily, third daughter of King Edward IV.She married John Viscount Welles, K.G. Re-’ ceived Robes as “ Lady Cecily the King’s daughter”in 1480.

Margaret, Lady Harcourt, wife of Sir Robert Har-court, K.G., and daughter of Sir John Byron.She is represented with the Garter on her arm inthe Church of Stanton Harcourt, in Oxfordshire.(Vide pp. 499, 500, antea).

ELIZABETH, QUEEN OF ENGLAND, Consort ofKing Henry the Seventh, eldest daughter ofKing Edward the Fourth. Received Robes as“ Lady Elizabeth the King’s daughter” in 1477and 1480 ; and as “ Queen of England” in 1488and in 1494. Died 11th January 1503.

Margaret, Countess of Richmond, daughter of JohnBeaufort, Duke of Somerset, K.G., widow of Ed-mund Tudor, Earl of Richmond, and mother ofKing Henry VII. Received Robes in 1488. Died29th June 1509.

Lady Margaret, daughter of King Henry the Seventh,afterwards married James IV. King of Scotland.Received Robes as “ Lady Margaret the King’sdaughter” in 1495, though she was not then fiveyears old.

Lady Elizabeth, daughter of King Henry the Seventh,Received Robes as “ Lady Elizabeth the King’sdaughter” in 1495, though she was then only threeyears old. Died 14th September 1495.

* It is stated in Beltz’s “ Memorials of the Order of the Garter,” p. ccxxiv. that in the 26 Hen. VI. 1448,Robes of the Order were issued to Margaret, Queen of England, to Lady Anne Moleyns, Lady de Say,Lady' de Beauchamp, and Alice Norreys. No authority is referred to ; but if, as seems nearly certain, thestatement was taken from the Accounts of the Great Wardrobe from the 25th to the 27th Hen. VI. (Roll marked“ T. G. 2242,”) it is incorrect; because the only Lady who is recorded to have received Robes of the Order inthose Accounts was the Marchioness of Suffolk, though certain articles were then issued to the Queen, to LadyAnne Moleyns, Lord Say, (query James Lord Say and Sele,) Lord Beauchamp, (query Sir John Beauchamp, LordBeauchamp of Powyk,) and Alice Norreys. The following is a literal copy of the entry alluded to:
