Either of thefe are very effectualpenetrating Medicines, and will carrytheir Influence much beyond anyPlainer or Liniment, becaufe theylie warm upon the Part if thickipread. They will not only give eafewhere the Pain is exquifite and in-tolerable ; but in great meafure alfobreathe out the offending Humour byTranfpiration. There can nothingpoflibly be contriv'd more effectualto this purpofe, tho there are innu-merable Prétendons made to it byQuacks and Impoftors.
