But this Caution ought generallyto be obferv'd, not to be too bufywith thefe for Hyfterical People ; forby Proximity and Confent of Parts,it is not poffible to give any confi-derable Irritation to the Rettum, butthe Vterns will fo far feel it, as to

When Wind is very troublefomein the Bowels, and, by being fome-times pent, occafions Cholic Pains,the following may be of fervice, orfomewhat like thereunto.

Enema Hemorrhoidals, A Glyflerfor the Piles. ' Take Galls bruifed,

* 5 iii. boil them in q. f. of Spring-' Water, to 5 vi. and ftrain it out' for a Glyfter.*

This is much extolled by fomefor what its Tide expreffes. It is tobe repeated as there is occafion.

Enema Carminativum, A Carmi-native Glyfler. ' Take Camomile-

Some Authors have very odd Con-ceits of Wind in the Bowels, andmake a ftrange diftinition betweenwhat they call fo and Vapours :but fiich Confufion feems altogetherto arife for want of rightly under-ftanding the Sanilorian Perfpiration.For there is little elfe in all+thofeDiforders fuppofed to proceed fromWind, than a perfpirable Matter fly-
