There are two Prefcriptions inthe Pharmacopoeia Regia, under theTitle of F.mplaßra ad Rupturas ;but both very different from this,which is not only intended for whatis fignify'd by its Title, but for theftrengthening any weak Parr. Thishath Fernelius for its Author, but itis a troublefbme Compofition tomake, becaufe the great Quantity ofthings to be mixed in Powder, giveit a very hard Confiftence, unlefsTurpentime enough be put in tomake it otherwife, which is thenapt to render it too adheííve, andunable to keep its Form. If the Li-tharge be boiled up into a Diachy-lon, with a fufficient quantity of Oil,it greatly mends the Confiftence,and makes it much more convenier.îfor ufe : It is frequently prefcrib'dbut generally in Mixture, with Dia-chylon, or fome other of the likeTexture, for the Reafons befor«given«
