This is faid to be the ordinary A-lexipharm'.c in one of our Hofpi-tals ; and it is a very good Compo-fiiion for filch Purpofes : one Scru-ple or half a Dunn of it may begiven every fix Hours, or as oftenas the Symptoms require, in anyproper Vehicle.

This is almoft an infallible Re-medy againft Worms, tho it La.hnot unt,l now been publickly de-faib'd ; notwithftanding it has beenlong in the Practice of fome whohappened to be acquainted withit. This Compofition does notpurge, and therefore may be s.;ivenalmoft in any Circumftance, with-out Prejudice, from gr. x. to 9 i. forthq ufual Dofe every Night, in anyconvenient Vehicle.

Pulvis Catharticus pro Pueris, Apurging Powder for Children.' Take Rhubarb, Refin of Ja-' lap, and Calomel, ana P. E.' Loaf Sugar the weight of the' whole.'

Theie ought all to be powder'dfeparately, and very fine. The Su-gar is a fufficient Corrector enough,and the whole makes not only apleafant, but an efficacious and aiäfe Purge for all Children. Forthey are always more or lefs fubjeftto flimy Humours ; and from thenceproceed Worms in the Belly, whichthis wonderfully cleanfes away anddeftroys. It may be given fromgr. x. to 9 i. To grown Perfonslikewife in many Cafes it is a goodCathartic, and may be in creas'dfrom 9 i. to ii. in a Bole ; or mix'dwith a thin Syrup ; otherwife theCalomel will endanger being loft.

Pulvis Dentifricus, A Powder incleanfe the Teeth.

' Take Pumice-Stone, Scuttle-' Fifh Bone, ana 5 i. Tartar of Vi-• triol, Maftich, ana 5 ii. Musk, 9 i.' Oil of Rhodium Wood, gut. iii.' mix all into a fine Powder, S. A.'

This makes a very good Denti-frice ; and not only whitens theTeeth, and hardens the Gums, butfweeiens the Breath.
