This Spirit is too corroiive to bemuch ufed internally, tho ibme or-der it from lo to jo Drops in anyconvenient Vehicle. Its chief ufe isto difiblve Metals, and fit them forPreparation.

This Spirit anfwers ail the Endsof the former, and is much betterin internal Ufe, where it is verydiuretic, and a good Clean 1er of
and dry, and thorowly feparatedfrom common Salt, which is in allunrefined Nitre, it will produce anuiqu* Regia. And if it be not dry,it cannot be made into fuch a finePouder as is requinte to keep itfrom melting together, by whichthe Emiffion of its Spirits would behinder'd. And to anfwerthe Chargeof the Oil of Vitriol, there will beprocured at the fame time the
SalEnixum Paracelfi, Paracelfus'iSal Enixum.
' This is only the Rendue of the' former Spirit, which remains in' the Retort, of a white Colour' and pleafant acid Tafle. If it be' diflblv'd in'hot Water, and cryf-' talliz/d, it will be yet a more ele-' gant Medicine, and endu'd with' the fame Virtues as theTartarum' Vitriolât um.'
Its Operation is Diuretic. TheDofè is from q i. to 5 i. in Brothor Water-gruel.
