It is moderatelydrying and reftringent ; and is re-commended in Fluxes of all Kinds.Some afcribe to it a Virtue to breedMilk in the Breafts of Women -whogiveluck. But it now ceafeth to beof any ule in modern Practice.

9Ö. A pari nés, Clivers; orStar-wort, or Stone Liver-wort. Itflowers in May and June. It is laidto'warm and dry, and is recom-mended in Cachexies ; but modernPractice hath no regard to it.

97. Argentina, Silver-weed,WildTanjie, or Coofe Grafs. It haththe Naines of Fotentilla, Anferina,with others, amongit Botanic Wri-

ters; but the F ent aphylloides Argen-tina diña, the Baftard Cinquefoiloí 'Ray is molt noted. It is with-out Smell or Tafte, and grows plen-tifully by Hedges and High-ways,as alio in the Meadows. It flowersin May and June ; and is recom-mended for its cooling, reftringentQualities, having antiently a diftil-led Water, and. a Confei ve order'dfrom its Flowers ; but they are nowquite out of ufe.
