After much delay, the causes of whichit would be tedious and of little momentto mention, we are at length enabled to pre-sent to tlie Medical Profession a new Edi-tion of the Edinburgh Pharmacopoeia. Wedo so with no little anxiety for its suc-cess; for, notwithstanding the time and carethat have been bestowed upon it, we areconscious that the extraordinary progress,which has been rnade in the sciences of The-rapeutics, Chemistry and Pharmacy duringthe last two-and-twenty years, has renderedthe adaptation of a Pharmacopceia to themodern state of Physic no liglit task, and
