Weaker Ointment of Quicksilver.

Take of the ftronger Ointment of Quick-filver one part.

Hog's Lard, prepared, two parts*

Mix them.

UNGUENTUM HYDRARGYRINITRATI.

Ointment of nitrated Quicksilver.

Take of purified Quickfilver one ounce byweight.

Nitrous Arid twö ounces byweight.

Hog's Lard, prepared, one pound.

DiiTolve the Quickfilver in the nitrous A-cid ; and, whilft it is yet hot, mix with it theHog's Lard, previoufly raelted, and now grow-jng cold.
