OXYMEL COLCHICI.

OXYMEL OF MeäDOW-SafFRON.

Take of the frefh root of Meadow-faffron,cut into thin flices 3 one ounceby weight.

. Diftilled Vinegar one pint.

Clarified Honey tvvo pounds.

Macerate the root of Meadow-faffron, withthe vinegar, in a glafs veflel, with a gentleheat, for forty-eight hours. Strainthe liquor,prefTed out flrongly from the root, and addthe honey. Laftly, boil the mixture, fre-quently ftirring it with a woodeu fpoon, tothe thicknefs of a Syrup.
