This burning expels only the water, the acid ftillremaining. It is ufed externally to deftroy what iscalled fungous flelh.

If the cryflals of Salts are fouled with a-ny impurities, firft wafh them with the Jiquorleft, then with a little diftilled water or recti-fied ipirit of wine.

When the cryftals of any kind of Salt areformed from any liquor, pour out the remain-der of that liquor ; and, if neceflary, flrainit. By repeated evaporation wafte a part ofit, and fet afide the reft to cryftallize. Repeatthis fo long as pure cryftals are obtained.
