Broom is a fhrubby plant, with numerous, flender, angu-lar, tougb, twigs ; fmdl fomewhat-oval leaves, fet three onone pedicle, and deep yellow papilionaceous flowers. It iscommon on heaths and uncultivated fandy grounds, andflowers in May. (Lew.M.M.) To be collecfted in June.(Pb, Dan.) It may not be improper to obferve that the Genif-ta, rankedas omcinal in the Mater. Med. of Linnaus, Vogel,Crantz, and Bcrgius, is the Ginifla tinäaria, called hereGrecnwecdj Grcemvood, &c.
